Fast cutting first stage polishing mop for polishing out grinding marks left from previous abrasive finishing operation. Each sisal disc is made from 5 layers of sisal seperated by single pieces of cotton, no fillers.

Open stitch mean that the distance between each row of stitching is 3/8" (10mm) a close stitch mop would be 1/4". Makes the mop a little softer.

The green sisals are a classic resin treatment used in the metal finishing industries for the last 30 years. Used to make the sisals slightly harder, this gives the sisal more cut but you will tend to get less finish. A good product when standard sisals are wearing too fast.
Commonly used with strong cutting compounds such as 523LBZ, Grey compound, carbrax medium greasy, SS42 and SS47.

Sisal can be treated with resin. We offer two treatments T10 and T20.
The T10 treatment gives a slight hardness to the sisal without making the sisal too stiff and non flexible.
The T20 treatment makes the sisal very hard and stiff.
I recommend treated sisals on surface where the sisals wear very quickly, for example items with edges or cutting into welds. |
